I am an abstract painter working out of my studio in Houston, Texas. I paint in acrylic, mostly at medium and large scale, and with a palette knife and my hands as much as a brush — which is why the work carries so much surface. Texture is the point. A photograph only gets you halfway.

That belief up there is not decoration. It is the reason I keep painting: a canvas is a way of saying something to a room, and to whoever ends up living with it.

How the work is made

Built to outlast the wall it hangs on

The canvas

Heavy-duty archival cotton, gallery-wrapped over kiln-dried stretcher bars so it will not warp or sag in Houston humidity.

The paint

Acrylic, layered and worked while wet. The texture is real relief, not a printed surface — it shifts as the light moves through the day.

The finish

Edges are painted and finished, so nothing needs framing. Signed, wired, and ready to hang the day it arrives.

Where the work lives

Private homes and commercial walls across Houston

My paintings hang in living rooms, offices, lobbies and restaurants around the greater Houston area, and in collections well beyond it. Some were bought off this website; more were commissioned after a conversation about a particular wall.

The Houston promise

Buying art here is not a leap of faith

In the Houston area I deliver the painting myself, hang it on your wall, and leave you with it for seven days. If it is not right in the room, I take it back. Outside Houston I crate and ship anywhere in the US, and the same seven days apply from the day it arrives.
